⏰How to Help Your Kids Through the Time Change ⏰

School-Age Children 👩‍🏫 Split the difference with the old time and the new time.
For example:
If you have a child that goes to bed at 7:00 pm, you would put him to bed at 7:30pm on Sunday night, the first night of the time change.

Do this for 3 nights, putting him to bed 30 minutes later than normal, then on the 4th night put him to bed at the normal time, 7:00pm or whatever is normal bedtime for your child.

Toddlers👧
If you have a toddler then on Sunday, the first day of the time change, you would put him for his afternoon nap 30 minutes later than normal, so if nap is normally 12:30 pm, you would
put him down at 1pm for 3 days.

For bedtime, if his normal bedtime is 7:00pm, you would put him down at 7:30pm.

Do this for 3 nights after the time change and then on the 4th night, put him to bed at 7:00pm and on 5th day move naptimes back to normal time.

Infants 👶

If you have a baby and his bedtime has become predictable (usually over 6 months old), move bedtime 15 minutes earlier each night until you reach the normal time.

So, the first few nights, if bedtime was normally 7 pm, you would put him down at 7:45pm, the second few nights 7:30pm, and then 7:15 and so on. Within a few nights, you should be back
 to 7:00pm.
If their bed is not predictable (0-6 months old) simply continue with their normal wakes times and work your way on to a consistent schedule closer to 6 months of age. 🕰😴 For the full post, read here:

⏰ Time Change Tips for YOU ⏰ 🌷 Spring Forward your Body Clock 😴 Ease into it. Let’s say you are used to going to bed each night at 10:00 PM. However, now with the loss of one hour, 10:00 PM is going to feel like 11:00 PM for at least the first 5-7 days. 🕰 To compensate for this, on the first night of the time change, go to bed just 30 minutes later than you normally would. If 10 pm is normally bedtime this means you would need to be in bed by 9:30 (old time was 10:30) the first 3 days after the time change.
On the 4th night push bedtime back to normal, which would be 10:00 pm. Know that it’s going to take a few more days until you feel properly adjusted. 💤 Get up at the same time in the A.M. You’ll feel tired, as your body clock is used to that extra 30 min, but by the end of the first week, you should be back to waking up fairly refreshed and by the end of week two you should be naturally waking up at this time. ☀️ Pay attention to the light changes in your room. If you notice the sun coming up before your normal wake up time, you’ll need to make arrangements to block it out as much as possible. 🍀 Just remember that body clocks take time to adjust. Even small changes like this will take a week or two to get used to, so be patient with your body. 😴 If you feel that you are not sleeping the proper amount each night, or have questions about how to improve your sleep please feel free to reach out. My passion is getting people back to sleep, and I am really good at what I do!😉

Happy International Women’s Day! 👱🏻‍♀️👩🏽‍🦱🧕🏽👩🏼‍🦰👦🏿👩🏻‍🦱
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 After such an amazing weekend surrounded by so many incredible women, whom are completely rocking their businesses, it only seems fitting to say thank you to everyone that has supported me on my journey thus far because as a female in business, it can be tough at times to balance everything and still put on a brave face that we have it all together.
Thank you to my parents, my in-laws, my husband and girls, my friends and colleagues and people that have never even met me before but heard something good and passed my name on, thank you, I would not be able to help as many people today without your help. I am truly grateful 🙏🏻 I have to give a shout out to my fellow #mompreneurs I have met so many smart, hard working women who continue to pick others up when they are down and need a helping hand.
When women help other women achieve success the world is a better place ❤️ Thank you @themompreneurtm for being a place where we can go to learn, be inspired and find help from other amazing females in business.
Ps- I did not win the award this past weekend, but I understand now why nominees feel so special because being on a stage with 5 other amazingly successful women in business was an honour all on its own.
I will be back 😘
